The new year always signals a new beginning or a change. A time to get rid of the old and bring in the new. With each new year, designers choose their top predictions for new design trends and trends they would like to leave in the previous year. Each designer has their own idea about what is in and what is out for 2019. Here’s what I’m loving so far in 2019.
Artisanal Accessories and Elements
According to Realtor.com 2019 will be the year of handmade, one-of-a-kind items with attention to detail. I’ve been eyeing these tables from Wayward Grain.

Rich Jewel Tones
Elle Decor lists rich jewels tones among one of it’s top picks for this year. Along with bold walls, dark greens, and velvet, this trend will make your spaces feel luxurious. I would love to see bold jewel tones paired with stark white carpets and walls, also.
Light Wood Floors
Elle Decor also says light wood floors are in this year. There are many elements of this kitchen design by Haven Design and Construction that I love, such as the pairing of bold, dark cabinetry and the wood floors.

Mixed Metals
I love that the use of metal elements is continuing through 2019. House Beautiful says it’s time to mix them up. This furniture pairing by Bartholet Homes mixes bold and muted golds with silver.
